#NoDAPL Manicure

This manicure is in support of the #NoDAPL movement in Cannon Ball, North Dakota. The Standing Rock Sioux Nation is protesting the placement of the Dakota Access Pipeline.  This movement has grown substantially in size, to include solidarity and support from all areas of the world.  It has brought together all the Native American nations in the United States.  This is the first time in history that all Native nations have come together.  It has brought together the seven council fires of the Sioux, they are the Oceti Sakowin.
The protesters call themselves 'water protectors', because they want to protect and keep the water clean and free from oil.  Putting the pipeline under the Missouri River, less than a 1/4 mile from the Standing Rock reservation, endangers the water supply, not just for the tribes people, but all of us.  Protecting the right to clean water should concern everyone. It should be something that all of us can support, and stand behind.
The pipeline does not have permission as of yet, to start putting the pipeline under the river. The issue is being reviewed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The hope is that they will not place the pipeline in this location, and even more so, that they will not be able to place the pipeline anywhere under the Missouri River.
There is a camp, The Sacred Stone Camp, that has been set up since April 2016. It was the first camp. There are a number of camps in that same area now. Water protectors from around the country, and even from other parts of the world, have and are visiting this camp regularly. The camp is currently preparing for winter. They are in it for the long haul. Very dedicated and inspiring people.
You can help this movement by donating to Sacred Stone Camp ,  and you can also find items on Amazon under Sacred Stone Camp Wishlist .for items they need for winter etc.  #mniwiconi #waterislife #Istandwithstandingrock

Vapid - California Jelly Holos

These were my very first Vapid polishes.  I only bought 3 but they won't be my last. I am in love ❤.
They are all two coats, and they apply like a dream. I used seche vite fast dry top coat so I'm not sure of their drying time.
The first one is the beautiful  1000 Steps.  It is a violet purplish color.
The second is Salt Creek, and I adore this color.  It's a stunning teal, turquoise.
The third is Pismo. It is a pretty,  sherbet orange color.
I, of course like to do nail art, so all of these manis have some sort of nail art design on them. Macros included so you can see the luscious holo goodness of each jelly polish.
Enjoy!

Sparkly Pink Chevron Manicure

This is a limited edition polish, made only for a swap group that I'm a member of. It is so beautiful.  It is called Anniversary Diva and it is by Cupcake Polish.  It is a pink micro glitter with Gold holo.
I also used Kleancolor Pastel Pink.  Whatsupnails chevron vinyls.  Just some random rhinestones for more added bling to this mani.
I've never had bad luck with nail vinyls.  I put them on my nail and make sure they are affixed good around the cuticle and then paint over the top of them.  I make sure to peel them off as soon as I paint over it too. I generally do one at a time.  If that helps any.
Enjoy!

Ephemera Prosecco Nails

This manicure is a favorite of mine for a few different reasons.
1. It uses one of my favorite color polishes: Sinful Colors, Prosecco.
I mean not many people don't love Prosecco. Am I right?
2. Prosecco as a base, left me with a great canvas for an ephamira theme.
What is ephamira? It is something that was not meant to last.  But has been given another use.  Typically it is typed it printed word, or cards etc. That have one use, but are repurposed into something beautiful.
3. I love layering stamping on my nails.
I'm not sure why I don't do it more often.
Back to the nitty gritty.  I started my nails with the Smoosh technique.  I used Sinful Colors Prosecco, & Karamel, from the King Kylie collection. This have my nails a slight color variation.   I then stamped my nails using the Moyra vintage stamping plate. I stamped the script first using Sinful Colors Gold Medal.  Then I stamped the birds using DRK stamping polish in Dark Purple.  I topped off with seche vite quick dry top coat and voila!
